Hall of Fame

Nominee should be a psychologist whose work has significantly contributed to the development of psychology in Kentucky, and who meets the eligibility/selection criteria.  This may be through clinical, academic, research, or any aspect of psychology. Must be a current or past KPA Member. They may be living or deceased but their work meets the above criteria.

Distinguished Career in Psychology

The nominee should have made a significant contribution to the field of psychology or the public. Their career spans a significant period of time, 20 years or so, and has been a credit to the profession.  The nominee may be someone well known for their accomplishments or a psychologist's whose quiet work over many years has demonstrated the impact of psychology in their own community.

Psychologist of the Year Award

Nominee should be a KPA member who has contributed to the field of psychology and made significant contributions over the past year. There are no minimum years of service for this award.

Jack Runyon APA Citizen Psychologist Award

Nominee should be a KPA member who uses their skills, knowledge, and identity as a psychologist to promote and work for the greater good.  The nominee for this award serves as a leader in their various communities. Through prolonged engagement in significant activities, they contribute to improving the lives of all. This can include public service, volunteerism, board membership and other strategic roles often not directly associated with the day-to-day work of psychologists in our careers. They bring psychological science and expertise to bear on existing challenges to improve community well-being locally, nationally or globally.
