Bluegrass Health Psychology Full-time Clinical Health Psychologist needed for established but growing, multi-state health psychology practice. Must have a Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling psychology as well as training in health psychology, specifically with pre-surgical evaluations. Prefer board-certified eligible in Clinical Health Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology, as all current psychologists in practice have board certification. Duties include pre-surgical spinal cord stimulator, intrathecal pain pump, and bariatric evaluations as well as chronic pain and opioid risk assessments. Sleep evaluations as well as bariatric, pain, headache, sleep treatments are also part of the job description. Training by other providers in the office is a possibility for any lacking areas of treatment or assessment that may be required for work duties or board certification. Opportunities to participate in research and doctoral student training are available. Practice’s primary location is in Lexington, KY but has offices in Louisville, KY, Evansville, IN, Indianapolis, IN, Bowling Green, KY, and Crestview Hills, KY. Psychologists would be expected to travel and assist in covering offices as needed in addition to any new offices that may be opening. Full-Time Clinical Psychologist Needed. The Behavioral Wellness Clinic needs a dedicated, passionate therapist to provide evidence-based services in our growing specialty clinic. BWC is a parent company to the Louisville Center for Eating Disorders and Louisville OCD Clinic. While BWC provides psychotherapy across a variety of conditions and populations, therapists primarily specialize in treatment for eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and anxiety disorders. Both clinics provide outpatient and intensive outpatient programming, LCED is working towards a partial hospitalization program. The clinic is active in research with local universities. Our ideal candidate has experience and willingness to provide supervision to diverse trainees. Prior training and experience in evidence-based therapies is preferred. *Purpose/General Description: The Psychologist functions as a member of the Behavior Services Staff, serves on the Behavior Support Committee, and is an active member of the Human Rights Committee and Placement Committee. The Psychologist also serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. The Psychologist assesses the strengths and weaknesses of each individual supported using standardized and acceptable test measurements and methods. The Psychologist serves as a consultant to staff, individuals supported, and their family members regarding the interpretation of the individuals’ test results and application to programming needs. 2. Attends and participates in interdisciplinary team reviews of each individual’s program plan (IPP). The Psychologist shall submit prior to each annual review, a written assessment of each individual's current functioning needs, and the interpretations of current test results for inclusion in the IPP summary. 3. Evaluates (at least once every three years) each individual's adaptive behavior and intellectual functioning by means of standardized testing measures in accordance with accepted psychological procedures. A written report of the testing results, conclusions, and recommendations shall be promptly entered into the individual's record. 4. Collaborates and works closely with all departments including the Director of Behavior Services. Assesses, makes referrals, and provides recommendations for behavior support programming.  5. Supports the Behavior Services Department to train and educate the Direct Support Professionals, managers/therapists, and other staff, as appropriate, in the use and application of behavioral programming as well as mental health needs. 6. Attends all Suite Meetings for the purpose of disseminating and reporting evaluation results and providing information useful to the staff working directly with the individuals.7.Counsels individuals and/or their families as needed related to diagnosis and mental health. 8. Serves as a consultant to the staff Placement Committee and Admission, Discharge, & Services Committee in the review and assessment of the needs of persons applying for enrollment. 9. Attends and participates in scheduled in-service training programs, as appropriate. Trains new employees through participation in new employee orientation. 10. Attends and participates in program activities, i.e. field trips, outings, etc., as appropriate and assigned. 11. Attends and participates in staff meetings and individual meetings as scheduled.1 2.Submits weekly psychology services sheets to the Business Office for billing. 13.Monitors expenditures and stays within budget guidelines.14.Consults with the Psychiatrist and Director of Health Services to coordinate individual mental health services. 15. Notifies the chairperson of the Human Rights Committee of any type of restriction not limited to but including psychotropic medications requiring review and present information to committee members. The Psychologist is a member of the Human Rights Committee.16. Performs other related work as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Master’s Degree in Psychology and shall be licensed for autonomous functioning by the Kentucky Board of Psychology. A Ph.D. or equivalent recognized doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology preferred and must hold a valid permanent license as a clinical or counseling psychologist in Kentucky. 

Experience: At least one (1) year of supervised clinical experience preferred or experience working with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities. The ability to use a computer system is required. Requisites:  1.Compassionate understanding of persons with intellectual disabilities. 2. Ability to work with individuals of all developmental levels and disabilities. 3. Able to work with individuals with challenging behaviors. This requires a patient, calm, and positive attitude. Also requires good physical and mental condition. 4.Ability to work as a team member. This requires compromise, negotiation, and assertiveness skills. Professional and ethical conduct is expected at all times. 5. Clean, healthy personal hygiene is required. 6.Ability to adapt to change required. 7.Able to meet deadlines and complete work on time. 8. Good language, reading, and writing skills required. 9. Able to accurately observe and evaluate supported individual’s behavior. 10.Able to conduct meetings and organize information for presentation. 11. Comply with all regulations. 12. Maintain psychology license requirements.13. Able to apply adult learning principles for staff training.14. Available by phone outside of routine work hours.15.Demonstrate knowledge and skills in state-of-the-art behavior programming.16. Must have a valid driver's license with a record acceptable to Cedar Lake Lodge's insurance carrier.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
