The Behavioral Wellness Clinic (BWC) is searching for a dedicated, passionate Psychologist or Master's level therapist who is independently licensed, to provide evidence-based services in our growing specialty clinic. BWC is the parent company housing the Louisville Center for Eating Disorders and Louisville OCD Clinic. While BWC provides psychotherapy across a variety of conditions and populations, therapists primarily specialize in the provision of evidence-based treatment for eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, and anxiety disorders. Both specialty clinics provide outpatient and intensive outpatient programming (IOP), with LCED preparing to provide a partial hospitalization program (PHP). We are the only clinic in the Commonwealth of Kentucky providing specialty care for eating disorders and OCD. Prior training and experience in the provision of evidence-based therapies is preferred. While specific training in the treatment of eating disorders or OCD is a plus, it is not a requirement. We offer extensive training from clinical staff members who are experts in the field, as well as monthly didactic training, weekly consultation teams, and access to a comprehensive digital library of treatment manuals, workbooks, handouts, and peer-reviewed journal articles. We work closely with researchers at the University of Louisville, and are therefore continuously using novel, evidence-based practices with our patients. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, motivated, and collaborative therapist to join our staff in a full or part-time capacity. Some evening availability is strongly preferred. Our ideal therapist would be involved in the following duties, tasks, responsibilities, and capacities: Provide intake assessments to inform treatment plansUtilize evidence-based treatment approaches in individual and group formats (couples and family formats are also available)Participation across outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs attendance at interdisciplinary treatment teams and regular consultation and training to build and develop competency in treatment approachesParticipation in trainings and willingness to grow in knowledge of evidence-based treatments across a range of diverse populations. EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Exempt PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Assistant/Associate Professor of Counseling Psychology - 9 months, tenure track position. The candidate will possess Ph.D. in counseling psychology from an accredited program, be professionally licensed to practice, and provide supervision to master's level trainees. Other requirements include a record of research, scholarly and/or creative activity, and a demonstrated potential for effective teaching using a variety of methodologies including face-to-face, hybrid, and on-line instruction.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Teaching Counseling Psychology Graduate concentration program courses as defined by the Faculty Handbook.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Duties include but not limited to: teach a 3/3 course load in graduate counseling psychology, supervise practicum students in placements, submit learning assessment reports for accreditation, and serve on the graduate program committee. 

OTHER DUTIES: The candidate will actively participate in the unit’s application for professional program accreditation within the next two years. Potential opportunity to assist in the Campus Emotional and Wellness Center. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution, and commitment to teaching in a Historical Black College and University (HBCU) preferred. An established record of research, publication, and teaching, the ability to offer students clinical/research experiences, experience with teaching in face to face, hybrid, and on-line modalities, and grant writing experience. Program level accreditation experience and Quality Matters certification preferred. Licensing and Certifications LPC, CRC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in the university setting.Strong commitment to teaching at the graduate student level. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This faculty position will have practicum supervisory responsibility for graduate level counseling psychology students.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work involves an office setting. Applicants must submit a letter of application including graduate transcript(s), curriculum vitae, and three current letters of recommendation indicating teaching philosophy and adaptability to course modalities. Applicants will be accepted immediately until the position is filled. The start date for the position is May 2021.
