Relationship distress continues to be one of the most common presenting problems, and couple therapy can be an effective modality, esp. when grounded in evidence-based theories and methods. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to three most evidence-based models (Gottman, IBCT, and EFT), including a brief description of key assessment and intervention procedures. We will also focus on resources for additional training, consultation, and supervision. Skill level: Intermediate

Workshop Objectives
Based on the content of this workshop, attendees will be able to...
  • Identify and describe three evidence-based models of couple therapy.
  • Identify and describe two evidence-based assessment procedures and two interventions for couple therapy.
  • Identify key resources for ongoing training in couple therapy.
