This workshop explains the etiology and treatment of diabetes and how it interacts with effect. Screening tools and intervention strategies will be presented by this workshop that has been developed jointly by the American Diabetes Association and the American Psychological Association. About the Presenter: Douglas Tynan Ph.D., ABPP is a health psychologist who is currently the mental health coordinator of the American Diabetes Association and President Elect of the Delaware Psychological Association. He developed one of the first comprehensive psychosocial programs for children with Diabetes over 30 years ago and continues to work in the field. One of the founding Editors of Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology, he has worked to integrate psychological services in primary care and specialty care clinics. He is a Professor of Pediatrics at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and continues as an Associate Editor of Population Health Management at Jefferson’s College of Population Health. Event Location It is important to note that APA continuing education rules require that KPA only give credit to those who attend the entire workshop. An evaluation of the workshop must be completed.
