Discussion topics will include preliminary and ongoing crisis planning and considerations, resource installation for clients in rural and urban locations, and how to help a client to access more acute care when telehealth will no longer suffice. Additionally, pertinent statutes and regulations related to the provision of telehealth, particularly related to crisis planning, will be discussed. This webinar fulfills 1.5 of the 6 hours necessary according to the KRS 210.366 requirement for suicide prevention training AND fulfills 1.5 of the 3 hours necessary according to the KRS 319 ethics/risk management requirement for psychology professionals. About the Presenter: Rachel Buehner, Ph.D. is the President (Elect) of the Kentucky Psychological Association and an American Psychological Association Leadership Development Fellow for 2020. Dr. Buehner is a Licensed Psychologist in the Forensic Psychology & Mediation Division of Shelton Forensic Solutions. +Any student member needing CE credit must register at the KPA member rate. This program has been approved for 1.5 CE credits by the Kentucky Psychological Association (KPA). It is important to note that APA continuing education rules require that KPA only give credit to those who attend the entire workshop. An evaluation of the workshop must be completed. Those who arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time or disconnect before the workshop is completed will not receive CE credit. Partial credit may not be given.
