While the traditional fee for service models still exist, many payers are moving toward newer models. This session will address how different models are structured and help providers understand what they need to know as they work to provide services in this changing environment. 10:45 am - 12:15 pm Workshop 2: Use of the OQ (Outcome Questionnaire) Measures for Psychotherapy Progress Monitoring, 1.5 CE Presented by David Susman, Ph.D. The OQ (Outcome Questionnaire) family of measures is a well-validated, affordable, user-friendly online system for the measurement of psychotherapy progress and outcome monitoring and prediction of treatment failure. This introductory level workshop will introduce the OQ-45.2, the core measure for adults, and describe its use in clinical practice and clinical training settings. Illustrative case examples from the OQ Analyst software system will be used to show how the measure may be used to inform and guide the course of psychotherapy. Related measures from the OQ system for adult clinical support, youth outcomes, and groups will also be covered briefly. Skill Level: Beginning Workshop 2: Objectives
1:30 pm - 4:45 pm Workshop 3: Applying Routine Outcome Monitoring in Clinical Practice and Leadership: An Intermediate Workshop, 3 CE The proposed presentation will cover a brief introduction to a commonly used routine outcome monitoring system entitled the Partners for Change Outcomes Management System as well as a more in-depth application of the 10 Guiding Skills. It is hoped that participants will feel more adept at using the system in nuanced situations, in supervision, and for use in organization leadership. About the Presenters:
Jessica Beal, Psy.D., grew up in a Chicago suburb and attended DePaul University as an undergraduate. She completed her master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical health psychology at Spalding University. After completing her internship year in integrated primary care specializing in pediatrics at Cherokee Health Systems in Tennessee, she returned to Kentucky for the Lovick C. Miller fellowship in pediatric psychology at the UofL School of Medicine, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology. After an extended fellowship training specifically in behavioral medicine for stem cell transplant she joined the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Stem Cell Transplant and served as their pediatric psychologist and division Director of Pediatric Behavioral Health. Dr. Beal also has a background in pediatric rehabilitation and pediatric brain injury and worked as the pediatric psychologist for Frazier Rehab and an outpatient pediatric rehab organization. In April of 2015, took a position at Passport Health Plan as their Integrated Care Program Manager.
David Susman, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and Assistant Professor in Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Kentucky, where he is Director of the Jesse G. Harris, Jr. Psychological Services Center and Director of the UK Internship Consortium Program. The UK Harris Center has adopted the OQ measures system. Dr. Susman is a former KPA President and currently serves as APA Council Representative, KPA Ambassadors Coordinator, and as a member of the Continuing Education Program Development Committee and Membership Committee. He authors a widely read mental health and wellness blog at davidsusman.com.
Norah Chapman, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the School of Professional Psychology at Spalding University and the Director for the Center for Behavioral Health at Spalding University. She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Her primary research interests are in evaluating components of psychotherapy process and outcome, both in person and via telepsychology, to develop evidence-based practices that increase the access to and quality of mental health care amongst underserved populations. Her research program has centered on evaluating applications of routine outcome monitor in practices as well as how doing so relates with trainee development. Dr. Chapman is currently a board member of the APA Division 17 Section for the Promotion of Psychotherapy Science and is involved with the Society for Psychotherapy Research. Dr. Chapman was also elected to the board to the Kentucky State Psychological Association, holding the position of Secretary. Registration Fees Half Day Registration - 3 CE

An evaluation of the workshop must be completed. Those who arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time or leave before the workshop is complete will not receive CE credit.
