Over the last year, this increased stress for both clinicians and our clients has demanded extra attention to the ways we all cope. Clinicians attending this workshop will learn the basics of yoga and meditation as a way of enhancing our own self-care and as an additional tool to expand our client’s coping toolkits. Dr. Calvary will review current empirical evidence for the benefits of yoga and meditation. She will also draw on her own experience practicing yoga and working with yoga in her clinical practice. This workshop is meant to act as a bridge to clinicians who want an introduction into the practice of yoga and an understanding of its impact for their clients. A portion of the workshop is designed as an introduction for clinicians to the practice of yoga. This will include a demonstration and brief introduction to basic yoga poses.
