Therapists: Square One is Hiring! We are Specialists in Child & Adolescent Development

Classified Description

Join the Louisville area's premiere developmental-behavioral pediatric practice.  Square One is an independent practice of professionals who specialize in child and adolescent development. Our mission is to provide thorough evaluations and effective treatments for children and adolescents. This includes careful assessment and determination of diagnostic issues that result in appropriate and productive treatment, resources, and supports. We help families develop realistic and effective treatment options to address developmental, psychological, educational, behavioral, and emotional concerns.

We are an independent practice, free from the constraints imposed by some larger institutions. We are also exclusively self-pay, independent of the limitations and constraints of third-party payers.

About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Doctor or Master’s level therapist to join the Square One Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with patients and their families.  They will share our values and believe in our culture.  They will value a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care and appreciate the importance of every member of the team.

You will hit the ground running, as we have a thriving practice with more families for whom we can currently care. You will have a full support staff and the opportunity and freedom to provide patient centered care in the absence of institutional and insurance limitations. You will participate in our weekly meetings to discuss cases, debrief, and provide mutual support.

We value our own families as much as our patients. Because we are the directors of our practice, we set our own schedule and hours.  You will have flexibility in determining your work schedule. We offer a competitive salary; 401K match and health insurance benefits.

About Square One

Square One was founded in 2006 by Dr. Judith Axelrod, a developmental-behavioral pediatrician, in close partnership with colleague Dr. David Causey, a clinical psychologist. They envisioned unrushed, patient centered care, provided by a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated and caring professionals. The organization was founded on their shared values, as expressed by Dr. Axelrod: “Taking care of the family – patients and employees . . . We work together as a team.  We look at the child from many angles. In this way we can show strengths as well as describe weaknesses.”  This gives our team members and the families we treat the time to discuss, explain, worry out loud and learn together. We are whole child, whole family in our approach.

Seventeen years later we are a unique, very successful family-centric practice with a diverse team of developmental-behavioral pediatricians, psychologists, therapists and psychiatric nurse practitioners. We continue to fully embrace the team approach and our professionals work collaboratively to perform assessments and provide optimized treatment. All professionals are of equal importance to our patients and their families.
