Title: Operations Assistant
KPA has an immediate opening for an Operations Assistant, 20 hours/week, Monday – Friday. This position provides operational and administrative support for the small KPA office team and the KPA membership.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
KPA email correspondence
Database and Listserv management
Working independently on special projects as assigned, including but not limited
to direct mailings, event preparations, elections, and data tracking
Proofreading materials for spelling, grammar and layout with responsibility for accuracy and clarity of final copy
Updating KPA’s website and social media
Technological aptitude and familiarity with MS Office Suite programs, specifically Word, Excel, and Publisher
Problem solving capability
Excellent general communication, interpersonal, and phone skills
Thoroughness and attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Strong Organizational Skills
Some lifting, up to 25lbs required
This position operates in a small office setting.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time position: 20 hours/week; Monday – Friday; Flexible between the hours of 9:00am - 4:00pm
Required to work a three-day Convention in November and may be asked to assist in facilitating a one day Conference in March/April, with each requiring Saturday work. (Two Saturdays per year.)
May be asked to facilitate occasional full day workshops that might require some in-state travel.
Preferred Education and Experience:
College degree and 2 years administrative experience

The Commission on Preparation for Ministry (CPM) of Mid-Kentucky Presbytery is looking for Licensed Psychologists or Licensed Psychological Practitioners to provide psychological assessments for individuals who wish to become candidates for ministry. The purpose of this assessment is to provide a personality and career profile to the members of CPM. The psychological assessment report is advisory rather than determinative and assists the CPM in recommending a candidate for ministry. Specifically, the report outlines the qualities and characteristics of the examinee to be discussed in CPM interviews, indicates the fit between the examinee’s personal characteristics and those considered desirable for ministry, and generates questions that are important to the CPM and to the examinee. Other areas comprised in the report include but are not limited to autobiographical information, vocational history, psychological health, substance use history, financial health, physical health (observations), cognitive ability, individual’s ability to cope with past significant losses or failures, sense of call to ministry, and any unresolved issues. Psychologists are paid per report. Psychologists should have extensive experience with psychological testing. Knowledge of church policy a plus.
