Paul Crosby, M.D. provides psychiatric consultation to children, adolescents and young adults and their families. He spends part of his clinical time treating patients referred from around the country and internationally to the Sibcy House and Williams House units for comprehensive diagnostic assessment and treatment of their often complex and highly comorbid symptoms.Dr. Crosby joined the medical staff at Lindner Center of HOPE for the opening of the center in 2008. In 2010, he founded the Center for Attentional Disorders in order to consolidate and coordinate efforts at the center to provide the best possible assessment and treatment for ADD/ADHD and the conditions that frequently accompany it such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, learning disabilities, and substance use disorders. He works to reduce stigma as well as to raise awareness of this often insidious illness and its tendency to undermine achievement and success in many facets of life, including learning, work, relationships, and health. Dr. Crosby serves on the professional advisory board for the Suburban Cincinnati CHADD chapter. He gives talks to professionals and members of the community on topics related to ADHD and provides consultation to other providers regarding attention difficulties and aspects of performance. Prior to working at Lindner Center of HOPE, Dr. Crosby provided child, adolescent, and adult psychiatric services primarily for community mental health clients via the Pine Rest Traverse City Clinic in Traverse City, Michigan and the Manistee-Benzie Community Mental Health Center in Manistee and Benzie Counties, Michigan. While there, he managed the outpatient treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with moderate to severe mental illness including disorders of behavior, anxiety, and mood; psychosis; the effects of abuse, neglect, and trauma; and autistic-spectrum illness. Dr. Crosby has also spent time in private practice, in treating veterans at the VA Medical Center, and working with the homeless mentally ill population in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood.
