Attendees will be aided in reflecting on their own intersectional identities and the ways in which gender-identity may have or be impacting their leadership experiences or opportunities. This will include self-reflection, small group discussions, and review of literature on barriers and facilitators regarding women in leadership. Attendees will take away strategies they can use in advocating for themselves and others in leadership spaces. About the Presenter Julie Radico, Psy.D. ABPP, is a licensed clinical psychologist, board-certified in clinical health psychology, and coauthor of You Will Get Through This: A Mental Health Tool Kit―Help for Depression, Anxiety, Grief, and More. She has extensive experience in multi-disciplinary, patient-centered clinical care, education, research, wellness, and leadership. She holds two master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Health Psychology as well as her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in Health Psychology: Primary Care at the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Radico is the owner and Chief Executive Officer of Radico Psychological and Consultation Services, LLC where she provides one-on-one coaching, consulting, and therapy tele-services to women in helping professions. Dr. Radico previously served as an Associate Professor in Behavioral Medicine at Penn State Hershey Medical Center Department of Family Medicine. There, she wrote and implemented new curricula, developed policies, designed and facilitated wellness activities for medical residents and faculty, and served on remediation teams for struggling learners. Dr. Radico has currently and previously served in elected and volunteer leadership roles for the American Psychological Association, the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, the American Academy of Clinical Health Psychology, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and the Society for Health Psychology. CE Credits/Attendance: It is important to note that APA continuing education rules require that KPA only give credit to those who attend the entire workshop. An evaluation of the workshop must be completed. Those who login more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time or leave before the workshop is completed will not receive CE credit. Partial credit may not be given.
