KPA Foundation
The mission of the KPA Foundation is to improve the lives of Kentucky's citizens through public education and support of psychological research. Its primary activities include the Spring Academic Conference, one of the largest state association-sponsored student psychological conferences in the country, as well as public education, encouragement of multicultural psychologists, support for psychology student research, and recognition of outstanding contributors to the profession.
The Foundation earned local, national and international media attention for its innovative public education, public art project titled "Heads Up Kentucky! Psychology Promotes Healthy Living" and the companion project for the schools, "Heads Up for Kids: Secrets of the Mind Body Connection." As an outgrowth of those efforts, Kentucky psychologists and students created over 20 brochures on psychological aspects of healthy living, which are available as free downloads here. (more)
